Ludwig von Mises on Politics and Ideas

Ludwig von Mises spoke/wrote these words in 1958.

He was optimistic that good ideas (loosely, free markets and free minds) would defeat bad ideas via good men and women standing up for and defending these ideas. He had reason to be optimistic.

Having himself (a Jew) fled the NAZIs from Vienna and then from Switzerland, The very bad idea of Nazism had been defeated.

He didn’t live to see the Berlin Wall fall but he lived to see a great rebirth in classical liberalism (libertarianism).

What can we say now here in 2021, with dark forces from Davos and DC, seemingly encircling classical liberalism and free speech itself, thirsting for the kill?
